Simon MacDonald

WRITER, PERFORMER, DIRECTOR, EDUCATOR

Simon MacDonald is a playwright, director, performer and theatre maker based in Jersey, C.I. Originally from London, he is an actor and storyteller, writing and performing in much of his own work as well as relying upon a trusted company of creatives to bring his ideas to fruition.

Sometimes bleak, often funny, Simon's writing style is driven by an urge to unearth the unusual personal stories found in everyday eccentricities; tales filled with humour despite the challenging issues raised in them – things that we all face in modern life.

In his work as Head of English at a further education college, Simon is currently studying for a Master's degree in Education and advocates for the promotion of oracy skills in children and young people.
